How To Surround Yourself With People Who Make You Happy

Remember those childhood days where you were as lively, happy and crazy as ever? Hmm that was a very long time back you may be thinking, am I right? Have you ever thought why so? Why were you ONCE so happy, lively, and in simple words the person you’ve always wanted to be regardless of what others think of you. If you’re main concern is age, then no that is not an excuse. So return your happiness to yourself today and do it right now and no matter whatever you are going through right now, living happily and making the most of life is very simple! Once you start heading towards this direction you will find out how beautiful and special life really is and you will cherish every single second of it!

What is the secret to the happiness? The secret is in fact YOU! We all have our responsibilities in life and daily challenges. But even with all the challenges we can live a positive and happy life. We just need to be aware of what it is we want to affect our life including our relationships with other people. So let’s take a look at those now. Think of your closest friends. Do they encourage you to follow your dreams or do they tend to list all reasons why you shouldn’t be starting a new career, a business or take a trip you dream of? Do they support you and lift you higher or not really? How do you feel when you are around them? Do you have fun, enjoy every moment with them or do you feel down filled with a negative energy? Just think for a moment and realize that the choice is yours.

Spend time with nice people who are smart, driven and like minded.

Do you love cooking? Sign up for a cooking class; I’m sure you will meet people who are on the same frequency as you are there. Do you love art? Go to the galleries, museums, art shows and you will meet people with the same interest. You do not need to abandon your current friends. Just open your mind and expect to meet new ones. When I founded Madamesque I felt kind of alone. My husband had always supported me in what I was doing but we had never discussed details or content of my articles. So I went online and found few Facebook Groups that discuss positive living, women support groups, and women entrepreneur groups.

I have been receiving so much energy just by being a part of these groups; seeing how other women start or promote their businesses and help others to succeed. Some of them even contribute to Madamesque with their motivational articles, which I’m grateful for. I did not ditch my old friends nor I was trying to change them. They have their own lives, challenges and daily responsibilities. I was trying to help me by widening the circle of my friends and including in it more people with the same interests as mine and same issues and challenges I was facing.

Relationships should help you, not hurt you. God has blessed each and every one of us and our strengths and weaknesses are all a part of who we are. We are all unique and that is what is special to each of us. Surround yourself with people who reflect the person you want to be. Choose friends who you are proud to know, people you admire, who love and respect you – people who make your day a little brighter simply by being in it. Choosing to spend time with people who we adore, love and can be happy with is a right we all have. Think about it, if your friends are always with you when you are experiencing happiness and the same friends disappear when you need them the most, then are they real friends? The answer to that is no. In simple form, one friend who is with you through thick and thin, happiness and sadness means so much more than many friends who are never there for you. That is why they say, “Having over a hundred friends is meaningless if in the time of need you still stand alone.”

Every choice you make in life is entirely up to you as it’s your life and you should live it exactly how YOU want. These little choices you make have a big impact on your personal growth, health and well being. If you’re thinking how will this improve my health, then the answer is very simple and it’s only one word; happiness! Spending time with people who make you smile, laugh and feeling happy will make you more of a cheerful person. Spending time with people who criticize you and others, or complain about everything and everybody will only make you upset, lose your self-confidence and self-esteem. The happier you are, the healthier you will be and you will love and cherish every single moment of your life. Oh, and just for a quick inspiration; happiness makes your skin gorgeously glow too! 🙂

    You are right. it is mostly about choices. I choose to be happy and surround myself with those that help me on that journey
